Britain's Carl Froch lost his WBC super-middleweight title on Saturday when he was outpointed by Denmark's Mikkel Kessler.

The 32-year-old Froch managed to cut Kessler over the left eye in the ninth round, but he was unable to convince the judges who scored the fight 117-111, 115-113, 116-112, all in the Dane's favour.
